The Maier Family<\/span><\/span><\/h2>

Today, the Goldener Adler is run by brothers Bernd and Axel Maier. They took over the restaurant from their parents in 2001. As head chef, Bernd is responsible for all the delicious dishes that leave the kitchen for the tables, he also handles technical matters, repairs, and property maintenance.<\/p>\n

Axel is a sommelier and, as such, is responsible for stocking the wine cellar. He leads the restaurant service team and oversees the restaurant’s strategic development.<\/p>\n

Bernd’s wife, Hannelore, welcomes you at breakfast and, in addition to a smile, always has a unique suggestion for an outing, she also oversees housekeeping.<\/p>\n

Axel\u2019s wife, Sandra, is often the very first point of contact for our guests: She handles reservations and all the organizational details related to running the hotel. Her \u201cSwiss German\u201d dialect has confused quite a few callers, leading them to think they dialed the wrong number\u2026<\/p>\n

Hannelore and Bernd’s children, Johanna and Patrick, as well as Andri, Vitus, and Seraina\u2014Sandra and Axel’s children\u2014round out the team.<\/p>\n

And when Andrea, the daughter of the family, comes \u201chome\u201d to visit with her husband and children once again, the \u201cMaier gang\u201d is complete.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
